Welcome to the Green Lake Elementary School Library!

    Purpose statement:

The mission of the Library and Technology Program is to ensure that all students are effective users and producers of ideas and information.

    Library Volunteers Needed

The library welcomes all volunteer help, whether it’s for a few minutes at the end of the day while you are waiting for your child, or if you’re able to come in at a consistent time. We would especially appreciate assistance with shelving books. Please contact Jean Bolivar if you are interested in volunteering. Thank you!

    Library Information

Each class visits the library once a week to learn new library and technology skills, as well as have the opportunity to check-out books.  The number of books students are allowed to have check-out at one time varies by grade.
    Kindergarten: 1 book
    Grades 1 & 2: 3 books
    Grade 3 - 5: 4 books
Library books are due no later than 2 weeks after check-out on their designated library days. The check-out schedule is as follows:

    Monday

    Moore
    Bowen
    Kerri
    Jackson

    Tuesday

    Harrington
    Macpherson
    Merlin

    Wednesday

    KC

    Thursday

    Forrest
    Davis
    Steve
    Kunkel

    Friday

    Acosta
    Sarikaya

If once a week check-out is not enough for a veracious reader, the library is open after school most days for further check-out.
